Home Styling Tip

Home Styling Tips for a Cozy and Elegant Look

A cozy and elegant look of your home is an effective combination of design elements which make your home attractive and be comfortable to stay in. Well, good news because this kind is not only about the concept of it: it is about designing a place to feel welcoming and comfortable to both you and your guest. Now, if you want to maintain this perfect balance between coziness and elegance, you’re at the right place, here are some home styling tips that’ll help you.

Layered Lighting

Creating a cozy ambiance in your home is one of the most effective ways to use lighting. Use overhead, table and floor lamps to layer light in pools of warm light. A layered approach is used in order to reduce harsh shadows and make a room feel warm and comfortable. I suggest using dimmers to lessen the brightness depending on what kind of mood or occasion it is. For example, if the mood is a date or a meetandfuck situation, consider dimmer lights to keep it sexy. Dimmable lights provide this option and create opportunities to transform the space in subtle ways.

Textiles and Throws

Textiles are a big part of giving coziness to space. Use plush throw blankets, soft rugs, cushions and so on the create a tactile experience. Pick wool, velvet, or faux fur for a rich feel. They use these elements to not only warm up a space, but also introduce texture and depth to your decor to make your space feel more inviting.

Neutral Color Palette

Neutral Color Palette

A neutral color pallet on your walls creates space for you to bring pops of color through your chairs, curtains and accessories. Beige, gray and white shades are clean and elegant base that can be easily enhanced by vibrant hues. This way you are ensuring your space remains timeless and the space has the ability to adapt to different styles and trends.

Bring in Nature

Add the coziness and elegance through the incorporation of elements of nature in your decor. Important Life: Bring some life and color to your space by using potted plants or a vase with fresh flowers. Amber also has natural materials, wood and stone, that also bring the ambiance, warmth and connection with the outdoors.

Focal Points

Focal points are created in a room to help draw the viewers attention and add visual interest. Use a statement piece as you would a piece of art, a rug or something unique to pull the eye. In this way, this approach allows the room to have a sense of balance and harmony and for the space to be cozy but elegant at the same time.

Personal Touches

Personal Touches

Creating a warm atmosphere with a cozy and inviting atmosphere in your home means you have to add personal touches into your decor. Choose to display personal items such as family photos, heirlooms or items that hold sentimental value in order to make your space feel truly yours. These contribute to the warmth and character, giving your house the feel of a home that reflects your person and style.

Practical Considerations

Aesthetics are important, but should not be neglected. Pick stylish yet functional furniture and decor. For example, a sofa that is comfortable and can have removable covers is a good example of being both cozy and practical for households with pets or young children.

Community Inspiration

Home decor is a place that is rich source of inspiration. Signs of Beautifully styled homes are everywhere on social media setups such as Instagram and Pinterest, with limitless ideas for your personal projects. Just as you share experiences and tips with others which can help you to find new styles or different techniques and it all makes decorating experience enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Future Trends

The trend for coziness and elegance will continue to be a central theme in the home decor as trends continue to evolve. They will integrate sustainable materials and eco friendly practices, as the demand for these green products also grows more. Furthermore, digital design tools are likely to make it easier for homeowners to visualize and experiment with different decor styles online, which will alleviate the design process.

Therefore, it can tabulate that having a cozy and elegant look in your house it takes a thoughtful combine of the design features which first things first places the comfort and style at top. Layered lighting, plush textiles, and personal touches can be introduced to make it feel welcoming but nevertheless refined. While going through these styling tips, it’s important to take the lead from the recent trends and community ideas and make sure the same features on your home.

Hack EXPEDIT- Shelf becomes a cupboard

We have already introduced you to a few EXPEDIT hacks: The one hack that turns a room into a living indoor garden thanks to the EXPEDIT shelf . Or converting the EXPEDIT shelf into a bench , like the startup Ipotential did.

Today we want to introduce you to a hack that, like the MANDAL hack, comes from the hacker Laura and that turns an EXPEDIT shelf into a wardrobe. You can see which parts of the shelf you have to convert in the sketch below.

However, we have to say that the work looks easier at first glance than it turns out to be in practice. According to the original instructions, the long boards are not to be attached vertically but horizontally. This means that they have to be shortened a little and new dowel holes have to be drilled so that the construction works. But you can see that it works in the photos provided by Laura.

Have fun recreating it!
